The Jewish New Year came early this year, and I was busy moving into my new apartment. So much to my grandparents’ dismay (and probably everyone sitting on stage at my seventh-grade Bat Mitzvah), I did not attend services.
However, the part of Judaism that I connect with the most involves tradition–especially food tradition. So to usher in the New Year, I decided to make Challah. This delicious egg bread can be enjoyed year round, but it’s a staple at any holiday dinner table. You can find the recipe here.
Happy New Year to all, and to all a Happy New Year! I hope it brings everyone the best of luck, and plenty of delicious things to eat.
Happy new year to you then… !
“New apartment” ? You should definitely explain that !
I hope you’re fine by the way since you didn’t seem so fine in the last message you had posted on this blog.
Good luck !

Hi Claire-Marie,
Thank you! I’m doing well, I just moved into a new apartment in Chicago. I hope you’re doing well, too, and that you have a good beginning of the school year!
